Writing has always been a joy for me. From drafting professional emails for my grammar-impaired friends to writing song lyrics to accompany my latest set of chords—and everything in between! Looking back, I realize I must have inherited my love for reading and writing from my mother. I always saw her with the latest James Patterson installment, excited for the next plot twist or reveal. Little did she know that she would set me on a journey to becoming a professional writer, sharing my imagination with the world!

sarah london

My love for Jesus, Creativity, and Music have collided and created a mission: To show people how much God loves them and how to love God back by using their creative gifts to their fullest potential.

God, the O.G. creator, who created the heavens and the earth, who created the vast animal kingdom, nature, music, love, and the expansion of time… also created YOU. He only has good plans for you.

I know part of my purpose is to help you see and realize what God has for you, who you are, and what you were made for through: MUSIC, CREATIVITY, and TEACHING. I’m excited to go on this journey with you; I hope you’re excited too!

kj williams

Former school media specialist, mother of two, Grammy to six. Long-time member of Society of Children's Writers and Illustrators. Always loved opening the world of story to kids. When I begin to host Authors & Illustrators at my schools, I saw the profound impact they had to motivate kids to read and write. I knew that was what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. Keepers is the story closest to my heart. It inspires kids to appreciate their freedoms today while acknowledging character traits such as ingenuity, persistence, courage and self-sacrificing for the greater good no matter your race or the cultural obstacles you must overcome. This story took many years of rejections, tears and rewrites. When I "accidentally" found Teresa R. Kemp, online two years ago, a direct descendent of the Farrow family I knew I had been blessed and that this story was going to become a book someday, our book. We are better together! Check out my author website at www.kjwilliamsauthor.com

I am not one of those writers who had the writing bug as a young child. It was a condition I caught sometime in my 30s but it would go into remission from time to time. I have, however, always loved books. Growing up, we had a “playhouse,” aka storeroom, in the backyard. During the summer my friends and I would create a lending library from our book collections and check out books to the neighborhood kids. As an English major in college, I naturally wrote a lot of essays, etc. After college, I wrote a poem like the one I assigned my Freshman Composition class the one semester I taught at a Junior College. It honors my father and was read at his funeral so is special to me. I didn’t really decide to take my writing seriously until my 60s. I am a late bloomer.

After staying busy with church work and volunteering, I dusted off the 10-year-old original draft of my story about a truck and a boy. I got serious about writing for children, joined SCBWIOK went to conferences and workshops, and learned, learned, learned. That truck-and-a-boy story became A Truck Named Tony, my debut picture book. I have several picture book manuscripts as well as an early reader and non-fiction picture book in various stages of revision—the really, really hard part of writing.

linda s. mai

Linda S. Mai lives in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with her husband, Chris. Together they have seven children and twelve grandchildren. Linda writes picture books and middle-grade novels. Her debut picture book, Deidra’s Dolly, is a book about love and acceptance. Her second picture book will be released this summer.

Linda lives on a pond and wakes every morning to the lovely sound of honking geese and noisy ducks. Being a member of SCBWI (Society of Book Writers and Illustrators) is one reason for her writing success, as well as belonging to the Authors Guild and ACFW. Amy Brewer, her awesome agent, is with Metamorphosis Literary Agency.

At church, she plays in the handbell choir and besides visiting her kids and grandkids, she likes to spend time on the beach.

brenda sands

Brenda Joyce Sands was raised on a farm in Illinois with plenty of space for dreaming—after her chores were done, of course! Her favorite uncle gave her the nickname Bimby Juice, and she has carried that name with her all these years. She now calls Missouri home and many of her children have chosen to grow their own families nearby. Brenda’s legacy is made up of 53 (and counting) children and their spouses, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren by blood and marriage! Journaling her time spent reading the Bible is her daily delight and necessity. Through it, her spiritual ears stay open, which has led to many blessings in her life—including her first published book A Bimby Juice Story.
